DataSentryX LLC
Welcome to DataSentryX ("Service," "we," "us," or "our"), a suite of privacy protection products including mobile apps and browser extensions developed and operated by DataSentryX LLC, a limited liability company. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our Service.
BY DOWNLOADING, INSTALLING, OR USING DATASENTRYX, YOU AGREE TO THE TERMS OF THIS PRIVACY POLICY IN FULL. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE, YOU MUST IMMEDIATELY CEASE USE OF THE APP AND DELETE IT FROM YOUR DEVICE.
This Privacy Policy is incorporated into and made part of our Terms of Service. DataSentryX LLC reserves the right to update this policy at any time. Continued use of the Service after any modification constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
We collect the following information that you voluntarily provide to us:
The following information is analyzed and processed entirely on your device and is NOT transmitted to DataSentryX LLC or any third-party server:
This on-device data is stored locally using your device's or browser's standard local storage. It is protected by each platform's own security and encryption, such as iOS data protection APIs and Android's application sandbox.
DataSentryX is built on a local-first architecture. All tracker detection, blocking, and privacy protection happens entirely on your device. The apps and browser extensions contain no analytics software, crash reporting SDKs, or telemetry systems.
Aside from the account device and sign-in security information described in section 2a, and the licence check described in section 2e, the apps and browser extensions do not automatically collect:
If Apple or Google collects crash diagnostics on our behalf, that is controlled entirely by your device settings (iOS: Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements; Android: Google settings > Usage & diagnostics) — not by us.
The only exceptions anywhere in DataSentryX are the anonymous counting on our public website, described in section 2d below, and the licence check in section 2e. If we ever add analytics that could identify you, follow you between visits, or track you across other websites, we will update this policy and ask for your explicit consent before collecting anything.
This section applies only to our public website at datasentryx.com. It does not apply to the iOS app, Android app, or browser extensions, which send us nothing of the kind.
So that we can tell whether our advertising actually reaches people, we count two things on our download page: that the page was opened, and that a store download button was pressed. Each count is stored as a single standalone row containing only:
These counters deliberately store no advertising or tracking cookie, no IP address, no browser user-agent, and no account, device, or visitor identifier of any kind. Because nothing is stored that links one row to another, these rows cannot be reassembled into a profile, a visit history, or a record of any individual person — not by us, and not by anyone who obtained the data. Nothing from these counters is sent to advertising networks or any other third party, and we run no third-party advertising pixel or tracking script anywhere on this website.
The campaign label is held in your browser's own session storage so it survives while you look around the site. It is not a cookie, it is never sent anywhere except as described above, and your browser discards it when you close the tab. Blocking it changes nothing about how the website works.
Opting out. We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. If your browser sends it — some browsers enable it by default, others offer it in their privacy settings, and several extensions add it — this page records nothing at all for your visit: no counter is sent, and the campaign label is never even written to your browser's session storage. You do not need to ask us, and nothing about the website changes.
These counters are deleted automatically after 90 days, as described in section 10.
To protect paid features from unauthorised use, piracy, payment fraud, and abuse, the iOS and Android apps periodically ask our server to confirm that this installation holds a valid licence and that your plan’s device limit is being respected. The answer we get back is a single yes or no.
A licence check may send:
We use this only for licence validation and to detect and stop piracy, payment fraud, and abuse of our paid features. It is never used for advertising, never used to build a profile of you, never used to follow you across other apps or websites, and never sold or shared with anyone.
A licence check tells us nothing about how you use the app. It carries no browsing history, no DNS lookups, no blocked-tracker records, and no settings — all of that stays on your device as described in section 2b. We do not require an account in order to verify a licence.
Licence-check information is kept only as long as it is reasonably needed for licence validation, fraud and abuse prevention, security, resolving disputes, and meeting our legal obligations, as described in section 10. You may request deletion at any time under section 9, except where a record relates to a licence withdrawn for fraud and is still needed for that purpose.
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
We do NOT sell, rent, trade, or share your personal information with third-party advertisers, data brokers, or marketing companies.
By providing your email address, you consent to receive communications from DataSentryX LLC including but not limited to: product updates, feature announcements, security alerts, promotional offers, and company news.
You may opt out of marketing emails at any time by:
Please note that even after unsubscribing from marketing emails, we may still send you transactional or account-related communications such as billing receipts, password resets, and legally required notices.
IMPORTANT LIMITATION
While we implement commercially reasonable security measures, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. DataSentryX LLC cannot guarantee absolute security of your information. By using the Service, you acknowledge and accept this inherent risk.
In the event of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you as required by applicable law.
DataSentryX LLC uses the following third-party services that may collect or process data under their own privacy policies:
We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party services. We encourage you to review their privacy policies independently. We do not control how these third parties handle your data.
When protection is turned on in the DataSentryX iOS and Android apps, your device's DNS lookups (the requests that translate website names into network addresses) are resolved through the public DNS services operated by Cloudflare (1.1.1.1) and Google (8.8.8.8). This is how DataSentryX filters tracker domains while keeping all analysis on your device.
The browser extension does not change your DNS settings; it filters tracker requests inside the browser using each browser's built-in content-blocking APIs.
DataSentryX is distributed through multiple platforms including Apple's App Store (iOS), Google Play Store (Android), Chrome Web Store (Chrome extension), Microsoft Edge Add-ons (Edge extension), and Mozilla Firefox Add-ons (Firefox extension). Each platform may collect certain information as part of the app download and distribution process. This collection is governed by each platform's own Privacy Policy and is outside our control. DataSentryX LLC is an independent developer and is not affiliated with Apple Inc., Google LLC, Microsoft Corporation, or Mozilla Corporation.
The Service uses platform-approved system APIs available on each supported platform to perform tracker detection and blocking. All processing occurs entirely on your device. DataSentryX does not transmit browsing activity, DNS requests, tracker logs, or app usage content to DataSentryX LLC servers. These system APIs operate under each platform's own security and privacy controls. DataSentryX LLC does not have access to data processed by these system frameworks beyond what is explicitly described in this policy.
DataSentryX is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at privacy@datasentryx.com and we will take steps to delete such information.
If we discover that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will promptly delete it from our records.
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:
California residents may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). EU/UK residents may have additional rights under GDPR. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at: privacy@datasentryx.com.
We will respond to verifiable requests within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity before processing your request.
DataSentryX LLC does not sell, rent, trade, share, or otherwise disclose your personal information to data brokers, advertisers, or third parties for monetary or commercial gain.
Because DataSentryX operates using a local-first architecture and does not collect browsing history, tracker logs, DNS requests, or app activity from your device, we have no such information available to sell.
We retain your email address and account information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account or request deletion, we will remove your personal information from our active systems within 30 days, subject to any legal retention requirements.
On-device data is controlled entirely by you. Deleting the Service from your device will remove all locally stored data.
On-device activity data is also pruned automatically, with no action needed from you. In the iOS app, daily blocked and detected counts are kept for a rolling 30 days; in the Android app, they are kept for up to 90 days. On both apps, the tracker observation cache used to calculate risk assessments is limited to 2,000 domain entries and automatically discards entries not seen in the past 30 days. You can erase all of this data at any time from within the app using Settings → Reset Privacy Dashboard. Browser extension data is stored in your browser's own local storage and is removed when you uninstall the extension or clear its data.
The licence-check information described in section 2e is kept only as long as it is reasonably needed for licence validation, fraud and abuse prevention, security, resolving disputes, and meeting our legal obligations. Records for an installation that has stopped checking in are deleted automatically once they are no longer needed for those purposes; records relating to a licence withdrawn for fraud are kept until that matter is resolved.
The anonymous website counters described in section 2d are deleted automatically 90 days after they are recorded. Because they contain no identifier of any kind, they cannot be traced back to you, and deleting your account does not affect them — there is nothing in them to connect to an account.
DataSentryX LLC never receives or stores your DNS lookups, browsing history, or tracker activity on our servers, so we hold no such data to retain, disclose, or delete. The tracker information described above exists only on your device.
READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY. IT LIMITS OUR LEGAL LIABILITY TO YOU.
DataSentryX is a privacy protection tool that uses on-device blocking technology — Apple's Network Extension framework on iOS, a local VPN service on Android — and browser extension technology (Chrome, Edge, and Firefox) to detect and block outgoing tracker connections in real time. All detection and blocking occurs entirely on your device — no data is transmitted to DataSentryX LLC servers. It is NOT a guarantee of complete privacy, security, or anonymity.
DataSentryX LLC expressly disclaims any warranty, express or implied, including but not limited to:
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW
DATASENTRYX LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, PUNITIVE, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, EVEN IF DATASENTRYX LLC HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
IN NO EVENT SHALL DATASENTRYX LLC'S TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY TO YOU EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100.00).
The following additional limitations apply to your use of DataSentryX:
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless DataSentryX LLC, its members, managers, employees, agents, and licensors from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in any way connected with: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your violation of this Privacy Policy or our Terms of Service; (c) your violation of any third-party rights; or (d) any claim that your use of the Service caused damage to a third party.
This Privacy Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States and the state in which DataSentryX LLC is registered, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any dispute arising from or relating to this Privacy Policy or the Service shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be resolved by binding arbitration in accordance with the American Arbitration Association rules, and you waive any right to a jury trial or class action lawsuit.
If you have questions, concerns, or requests regarding this Privacy Policy or your personal data, please contact us:
